TRAINING | PUPPIES
Puppies 5 months to 8 months of age
Now is the time to be considering training, a more structured approach to your dog’s learning where-by clear intentions and humane learning methods come together to influence your dog’s choices.
It is so much easier and a lot more fun to teach a dog who is ready to engage in your ways than a puppy who has up until now, not benefited from developing a cooperative relationship with you.
Joining us from Puppy Preschool, in the next step of your learning journey, you and your puppy will strongly benefit from having developed an enjoyable cooperative working relationship, that will allow you to maximize on your training time together.
Your puppy already views you as the most fun human being on this planet, and therefore competing against the environment and distractions will be easier to achieve.
If you are just joining us, we’d like to suggest our Rock Star Puppy package. This will create an advantage for your dog in that he/she will benefit from enrichment in addition to skill-building. The Rockstar Puppy package affords us more time with your dog, which equates to more meaningful interactions, more opportunities to further your dog’s learning, and more interactions through which we can direct your dog’s application of their learning to real life scenarios.
Whether you are continuing on or just joining us, know that each puppy is treated as an individual (even in a group setting) and their learning journey is specific to the individual puppy. We are not your typical puppy training program, and it is in our best interest to support your puppy in his/her development to ensure long term success with us, with you and in life!
There are two levels of PRE K9 Training: Level 1 and Level 2
Level 1 builds the foundational skills in a way that each puppy can perform reliably and is ready to generalize their skillsets to applied learning scenarios.
Level 2 takes the foundational skills and helps the puppy make sense of their learning by teaching them the relevance of the skills to the real world.
Advanced: Speciality Training Classes
If your long-term goal is to have a dog you can take everywhere you go, and to be able to trust your dog in almost any situation that would involve other dogs, other animals, children, people, moving objects (bicycles, vehicles etc.), then you are likely to continue training after Pre-K9 Level 2.
If you want to ensure your dog’s safety in public, then our Specialty Training classes are designed specifically for you.
Meet Your Training Team
Amber and Rachael lead your weekly Practice Sessions. Each week you’ll receive video training lessons, which you can watch on your own time and practice at home. A week later, you will come to Doglando to practice in the presence of our trainers. In between Practice Sessions you can send our team videos of you working with your puppy and get feedback on our private Facebook group for class.
